I love a simple chicken dish. Add a little this, add a little that… and dinner is served. This dish definitely fits the mold.
I’ve loved kohlrabi since I was a kid.I remember going to my babysitter’s house and she would slice up kohlrabi for the kids. Placing it in front of us with some ranch dip, we devoured it. I didn’t know what it was… but it was crunchy and crisp (almost like an unsweet apple) and I loved it!
I tend to be a little cautious when I try a new recipe. I don’t love trying a new recipe only to find that I have leftovers for days. I’ll usually half the recipe the first go ’round… and it’s so bittersweet when I realize that the recipe is one I could eat for DAYS on end, and never get sick of it.
I purchased a spiralizer about a year ago (with my prize gift card from the Fitbloggin Avocado Recipe Contest last summer!) Since then, I’ve spiralized cole slaw, I’ve spiralized cucumbers, and I’ve even made beets into spiral-shaped noodles. And, even though I love the tool, I felt like I wasn’t getting the use out of it I had hoped.
Confession: This weekend, I used my grill for the first time all summer.I know, I know… Summer is all about grilling. However, you’ve seen my summer, haven’t you? I’d like to think I’m excused, especially when this beautiful dish was my first grilling project of the year…
