A few weeks ago, I made fired up my crockpot with my favorite beef stew recipe. My sister-in-law has always told me that she pairs the stew with popovers.
Sometimes I have a ton of luck picking out a watermelon, and other times I pick one that is WAY overripe. Yesterday, I bought the one no one wants to buy. I had watermelon gazpacho on my mind (not surprisingly), but quickly side-stepped to make Sweet Corn Gazpacho as a replacement.
I’m still recreating recipes from my trip to Lemonade LA last month. There’s something about a flavorful salad that sticks in my mind for a while.
Earlier in the month after my trip to Fitbloggin, I took a quick trip to Florida to visit with my dad. He’s lived on the northeastern coast of Florida for the past several years… retiring to his version of paradise. After spending the previous 10+ years in Green Bay, you can understand why this Guy was looking for sunny, hot days as he was planning his retirement.
When I was in college, a big night for me and my girls would have included at trip to the OG (Olive Garden). It was about 20 minutes away from us. You know, in the town where the mall was. And, we had all become raving fans of the big bottles of OG wine… naturally a favorite.
Summer weekends are so incredibly glorious in Colorado, and the past few days have been no exception.
